Position summary
Under the supervision of the chief accountant, the incumbent will be responsible for a variety of accounting and administrative tasks within the Finance team.
Main responsibilities
- Accounts payable
- Review and approve supplier transactions in the accounting system
- Pay suppliers (good knowledge of the accounting cycle)
- Oversee the proper functioning of day-to-day operations
- Record monthly transactions
- Analyze general ledger accounts
- Perform any other related tasks
- Accounts receivable
- Oversee monthly billing
- Record banking data
- Participate in collection
- Perform any other related tasks
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or equivalent experience
- Minimum of three years’ experience in a similar position
- Fluent in French and English, both spoken and written; excellent communication skills with colleagues, clients, and suppliers
- Strong analytical skills
- Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Excel – Asset: VLOOKUP, PivotTables, formulas
- Ability to prioritize, attention to detail, team player, ability to meet obligations and deadlines, stress management, and autonomy
- Ability to manage a broad range of priorities
