Position summary
Reporting to the managing partner for Ontario and Western Canada, the successful candidate will take part in various types of mandates: strategic planning and support (including alignment with financial frameworks, documentation and support for growth and performance initiatives, etc.), development and analysis of surveys and studies, management due diligence, etc.
Main responsibilities
- Conduct research, including market analysis, identification of major market trends, competitive profile, stakeholder analysis, etc.
- Develop survey and interview questionnaires for different groups (boards of directors, management teams, employees, customers, members, or users, etc.) and analyze results.
- Take part in interviews with organizations' key stakeholders to understand their vision, collect their comments and perceptions on various issues; evaluate management team dynamics, cohesion, and alignment, as well as the level of maturity of the organization's various functions.
- Combine quantitative and qualitative data and analyses into a reference document (facts base) to help clients make informed decisions.
- Understand and prepare financial analyses, reporting, and modelling to guide decision-making.
- Prepare facilitation guides and worksheets for strategic planning, work sessions, and workshops.
- Support project leads during strategic planning, work sessions, and workshops, co-facilitating certain activities and taking notes to ensure that records are clear and concise.
- Help organizations identify, document, and prioritize growth and performance strategies.
- Help management teams develop and monitor management dashboards and action plans (including the identification and implementation of metrics).
- Take part in drafting various deliverables.

The successful candidate will be supervised by a team of seasoned professionals who will determine the approach and analyses required for client mandates. They will also take part in internal projects to support the organization’s development.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration or a related field (MBA, an asset)
- 2–3 years of relevant experience in research, market or client analysis, consulting and/or industry (including professional internships)
- Excellent working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Excel and PowerPoint
- Ability to interpret and analyze financial data (income statements, balance sheets, etc.)
- Strong ability to analyze and summarize information, with an interest in understanding and describing our clients' business models, processes (value chain, customer journey, etc.), issues, challenges, and risks
- Strong curiosity, discipline, and desire to learn
- Client focus, sound judgment, and results orientation
- Ability to work in a team, good collaborative spirit
- Ability to manage priorities, adapt to change, and tolerate ambiguity
- Ability to work under tight deadlines and manage stress effectively
- Comfortable learning and working with new technological tools and platforms (Zoom, Miro, Asana, Sphinx, etc.)
