C\u2019est toutefois le d\u00e9but d\u2019une phase plus exigeante o\u00f9 les attentes augmentent et o\u00f9 les d\u00e9cisions ont des impacts syst\u00e9miques. La marge d\u2019erreur se resserre. Rares sont les leaders qui admettront \u00e9prouver de la solitude ou un manque de pr\u00e9paration. L\u2019identit\u00e9, c\u2019est la mani\u00e8re dont une personne se d\u00e9finit dans son r\u00f4le, assume son impact et aligne ses actions sur ses valeurs.<\/p><p>Les travaux du psychologue organisationnel et auteur am\u00e9ricain David\u00a0Day r\u00e9v\u00e8lent que les leaders qui d\u00e9veloppent tant leurs comp\u00e9tences que leur identit\u00e9 connaissent une progression plus soutenue. \u00c0 l\u2019inverse, les leaders qui se focalisent exclusivement sur les comp\u00e9tences ont tendance \u00e0 plafonner, parfois sans en comprendre la raison. Les signes avant-coureurs sont subtils\u00a0: difficult\u00e9 \u00e0 d\u00e9l\u00e9guer, \u00e9quipes en attente de validation, fatigue persistante, sentiment de d\u00e9calage.
