Or, malgr\u00e9 le rapprochement, les outils technologiques, les structures organisationnelles et les pratiques de travail pens\u00e9es pour faciliter la communication et la collaboration, la solitude au travail demeure un enjeu bien r\u00e9el.<\/p><p>Qu\u2019est-ce que la solitude au travail? Cela correspond \u00e0 une exp\u00e9rience personnelle d\u00e9sagr\u00e9able qui \u00e9merge lorsqu\u2019un individu per\u00e7oit un manque de soutien \u00e9motionnel et de relations interpersonnelles dans son milieu professionnel (Borba, Ringwald et De\u202fMelo, 2025; Wright, Burt et Strongman, 2006).<\/p><p>Il est important de noter que cette perception ne d\u00e9coule pas n\u00e9cessairement d\u2019une insuffisance d\u2019interactions sociales. On peut en effet sauter d\u2019une r\u00e9union \u00e0 l\u2019autre, travailler en \u00e9quipe quotidiennement, manger avec ses coll\u00e8gues plusieurs fois par semaine et, pourtant, se sentir seul ou seule. La cl\u00e9 ne r\u00e9side donc pas dans la <strong>quantit\u00e9<\/strong> d\u2019interactions mais plut\u00f4t dans la <strong>qualit\u00e9<\/strong> des liens que nous tissons avec les personnes qui nous entourent.<\/p><p>La solitude au travail n\u2019est pas anodine. Elle constitue un facteur de risque pour la sant\u00e9 psychologique et physique. Elle est aussi nocive pour la sant\u00e9 que l\u2019ob\u00e9sit\u00e9 ou le fait de fumer 15\u202fcigarettes par jour (Holt-Lunstad et coll., 2015). La solitude et l\u2019isolement social sont associ\u00e9s \u00e0 une augmentation des risques de d\u00e9pression, d\u2019anxi\u00e9t\u00e9, de troubles du sommeil et peuvent m\u00eame entra\u00eener des maladies cardiovasculaires (Office of the U.S. Surgeon General, 2023).<\/p><p>De plus, on r\u00e9alise progressivement que la solitude repr\u00e9sente un risque d\u2019affaires important pour les organisations. Selon une enqu\u00eate de BetterUp (2022), les personnes qui \u00e9prouvent un faible sentiment de lien avec leurs coll\u00e8gues sont 73\u202f% moins engag\u00e9es. La solitude affecte \u00e9galement le niveau de satisfaction au travail, la sant\u00e9 psychologique, la performance et la r\u00e9tention (Bryan et coll., 2023; Sasaki et coll., 2024). L\u2019impact financier, quant \u00e0 lui, pourrait atteindre des milliards de dollars (Sullivan et Bendell, 2023).<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-7217a6c elementor-widget elementor-widget-heading\" data-id=\"7217a6c\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"heading.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<h2 class=\"elementor-heading-title elementor-size-default\">Comment contrer la solitude au travail?  <\/h2>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-5e5a8bb elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"5e5a8bb\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p>Cette question doit \u00eatre abord\u00e9e dans les organisations.<\/p><p>Un r\u00e9flexe r\u00e9pandu consiste \u00e0 rejeter la faute sur le t\u00e9l\u00e9travail et \u00e0 croire que l\u2019augmentation de la pr\u00e9sence au bureau r\u00e9glera le probl\u00e8me. Apr\u00e8s tout, cela nous permettra de cr\u00e9er davantage de liens, n\u2019est-ce pas? Ce n\u2019est pas si simple. \u00c9tonnamment, le mode de travail n\u2019affecte pas la sensation de solitude et d\u2019isolement, m\u00eame si les personnes qui travaillent principalement \u00e0 distance ont g\u00e9n\u00e9ralement moins d\u2019interactions sociales (Borba, Ringwald et De\u202fMelo, 2025). Comme mentionn\u00e9 pr\u00e9c\u00e9demment, c\u2019est la <strong>qualit\u00e9<\/strong> de nos relations avec autrui qui importe.<\/p><p>Pour cr\u00e9er un environnement propice au d\u00e9veloppement de relations humaines authentiques et durables, voici quelques pistes\u202f:<\/p><ul><li>Analysez dans quelle mesure votre <strong>culture organisationnelle<\/strong> actuelle favorise ou entrave le d\u00e9veloppement de relations. Ici, il ne faut pas se contenter d\u2019\u00e9nonc\u00e9s de mission et de valeurs, mais plut\u00f4t examiner les comportements r\u00e9els, les normes implicites et les pratiques quotidiennes. Cela permettra d\u2019identifier des actions concr\u00e8tes pour renforcer la connexion humaine.<br \/><br \/><\/li><li>L\u2019absence de structure claire dans les modes de travail flexibles peut entra\u00eener une d\u00e9t\u00e9rioration des relations sociales et une diminution de la coh\u00e9sion, ainsi qu\u2019un sentiment d\u2019isolement accru. En \u00e9tablissant des <strong>lignes directrices sans ambigu\u00eft\u00e9<\/strong> et en int\u00e9grant des <strong>pratiques d\u2019\u00e9quipe<\/strong> qui favorisent la bienveillance, la confiance et l\u2019ouverture, des progr\u00e8s consid\u00e9rables peuvent \u00eatre r\u00e9alis\u00e9s.<br \/><br \/><br \/><\/li><li>Les gestionnaires ont un r\u00f4le crucial \u00e0 jouer pour cr\u00e9er un milieu de travail sain. Toutefois, ces personnes disposent-elles des ressources n\u00e9cessaires pour y parvenir? En renfor\u00e7ant leurs <strong>comp\u00e9tences<\/strong> en communication, en empathie et en d\u00e9veloppement de liens de confiance, nous \u00e9quipons non seulement les gens, mais nous leur apprenons aussi \u00e0 utiliser les bons outils au bon moment.<br \/><br \/><br \/><\/li><li>Tout comme les \u00eatres vivants, les relations interpersonnelles ont besoin d\u2019une attention r\u00e9guli\u00e8re pour s\u2019\u00e9panouir. H\u00e9las, dans le tourbillon du quotidien, les occasions de se rapprocher sont souvent n\u00e9glig\u00e9es. Il importe donc de <strong>planifier intentionnellement<\/strong> des moments pour connecter (p. ex. un caf\u00e9 ou un d\u00eener d\u2019\u00e9quipe, une discussion informelle ou un mentorat). Mais surtout, prenez l\u2019engagement personnel et collectif d\u2019entretenir les relations.<br \/><br \/><br \/><\/li><li>Le travail d\u2019\u00e9quipe est un antidote puissant \u00e0 l\u2019isolement. Cependant, la v\u00e9ritable collaboration ne s\u2019improvise pas. Elle doit \u00eatre int\u00e9gr\u00e9e aux pratiques organisationnelles. Malgr\u00e9 cela, elle est souvent ignor\u00e9e. Rappelons-nous que ce n\u2019est pas le t\u00e9l\u00e9travail ou l\u2019horaire flexible qui en sont principalement responsables, mais bien la <strong>qualit\u00e9 des liens humains<\/strong> que nous entretenons.
